3/4 Inch CrystalPleat SunUp-SunDown Cellular Shades Product Detail
Construction & Operation
The absolute benefit provided by this innovative shading technology comprises light and thermal control in addition to varying levels of privacy, view and sound insulation with seamless élan. It consists of three horizontal rails – a head rail, a midrail, and a bottom rail separated by two cellular panels. The top panel almost always comprises the room darkening or blackout panel as it’s obviously heavier while the bottom panel comprises the lighter sheer or light filtering panel.
In the Standard Lift Control, a single set of lift cords (provided to the left of the shade) attached to the midrail passes through the head rail with a locking device in place allows for the upward and downward movement of the midrail, allowing the alternate selection of the blinds.
A second set of lift cords (provided to the right of the shade) connects all three rails so that the bottom shade may be raised completely for an unobstructed view; the bottom or room darkening panel may also be used by itself with the top panel held in place at the top with the first lift cord.
The cord release device is contained in the mid rail to enable cord detangling in case of a danger in strangulation.
