Setting the Upper and Lower Limits of Motorized Zebra Sheer Shades
Motorized Zebra sheer shades are the perfect modern-day addition to your home decor as they integrate technology advancements and innovation together to make life worth living. There was a time when we used to pull the shades using cords. But now motorization has made life easier and convenient as it gives you access to operate shades using a remote. These zebra shades are designed in a unique way that combines both light filtering and sheer fabrics. And the shades can be adjusted to filter light while providing privacy, and when required they can offer an additional view through the sheer fabric. Besides this smart functionality, these shades are made from high-quality polyester which makes them one of the fabulous and sturdy window treatments in the market.
When using your Zebra Sheer Shades with a motorized lift, you may need to program the upper and lower limits so that they operate and stop where you want them. In this article, we will show you how to set the limits so that you can raise or lower the shadings without any hassle!
Step 1: First grab a pin as you’ll need it in order to press the programming button on the back of the remote. Also ensure that your remote is paired to your shade, and that your shade is fully charged.
Step 2: The next step includes determining the direction of the zebra sheer shades. Press and hold the down key to ensure the shade is moving towards the downside. If it doesn’t happen (and it is moving up instead), then press and hold the ‘STOP’ button until the shade jogs (moves up and down slightly). Then press and hold the ‘DOWN’ button on the remote and it will jog one more time. This will reverse the direction of the motor.
Step 3: Setting the Upper and Lower Limits – To set the upper limit, position the shade about 6” to 10” below your desired upper limit. Press the ‘PROGRAM’ button on the back of the remote with your pin. The shade will jog, which means that it is in programming mode. Now move the shade to your desired upper limit and press the program button on the back of the remote again. Your shade will jog one more time, confirming that the upper limit is set.
Step 4: To set the lower limit, position the shade about 6” to 10” above the desired lower limit. As before, press the ‘PROGRAM’ button on the back of the remote with your pin. The shade will jog once, showing that it is in programming mode. Then you can move your shade down to your desired lower limit and press the program button on the back of the remote again. The shade will jog one more time, confirming that the lower limit is set.
Step 5: To raise the shades, press the up button and it will reach the upper limit and to lower the shades, press the down button and it will move to the lower limit.
Step 7: Set a Preset Position – You can set up your shades to four preset positions which means that the remote will stop at those preset positions and cycle through them when you hit up or down. To do so, first, move the shades 6” away from any other limits or preset positions, and hold the programming button behind the remote for 1 second. The shade will start to jog. Now move the shade to any desired intermediate position, and hold the programming button for another 1 second and your preset position will be saved.
Step 8: Delete a Preset Position – To delete a preset position, move the shade to the position you want to remove, and hold the programming button for 7 seconds. The shade will jog twice, and the position will be deleted.
Programming motorized zebra sheer shades aren’t that difficult as it sounds. Following the above steps will easily set the upper and lower limits as per your requirements.
